PAFTAK Software Inc. (“PAFTAK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software and security consultancy incorporated in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through paftak.com (the “Site”), how we use and disclose it, and the rights available to you under Canadian privacy law — principally the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). If you are located in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Quebec’s Law 25, also applies to our handling of your information.
1. Information we collect
We collect personal information in two ways:
- Information you give us directly. When you submit the contact form on the Site, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) automatically logs standard technical data for every request to the Site, such as IP address, browser/user-agent string, and request timestamps, for security and operational purposes. The Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies as of the effective date above; if that changes, this policy will be updated first.
2. Why we collect it
We use personal information only for the purposes below:
- To respond to your inquiry and scope potential engagements.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
- To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond what a reasonable person would consider appropriate given why you provided it.
3. Consent
By submitting the contact form, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us at the address below — though withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to an open inquiry.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the Site work, under contractual obligations to protect it:
- Resend (email delivery) — processes contact-form submissions to deliver them to our inbox.
- Vercel Inc. (web hosting) — hosts the Site and its infrastructure logs.
Both providers are based in the United States, meaning your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and could be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities under that country’s laws. We may also disclose personal information where required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or regulatory request.
5. Retention
We keep contact-form submissions only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain a business record of it — typically no longer than 24 months from your last message — after which we delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required to comply with law or resolve a dispute.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls on our email and hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Ask questions about how your information has been handled.

8. Children’s privacy
The Site is directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the Site is not intended for use by minors.

This policy is governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
